Liturgical Ministry :: Confirmation

Confirmation is the sacrament which gives the fullness of the Holy Spirit. It incorporates us more fully into Christ, strengthens our bond with the Church and helps us bear witness to the Christian St. Joseph Parishfaith in words accomplished by deeds.

As the parish of Saint Joseph, we take our responsibility of initiation of our youth into the faith of the Church seriously. We are partners together in a life long journey which gives the best and appropriate foundation to our youth as we continue to initiate them into the Christian community.

Preparation for the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation is to make Confirmation the beginning of a new stage of their life not the conclusion. We all are in need of ongoing participation and preparation in our role as Disciples of Christ. We are all called to a life long responsibility of being examples of Christian practice and living, especially for our young.

Lessons of faith, Sacraments, Catholic social teaching and the Eucharist, are some of the efforts made to strengthen faith formation for our young.

Our annual retreat challenges our young adults to deepen their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Also, speakers are engaged to come and offer catechesis for parents and teens alike on a variety of topics and our outreach program offers the experience of serving and putting faith into action.
