Description:
The purpose of the Parish Pastoral Council is to assist the pastor in his leadership role of planning, organizing, initiating, promoting, coordinating, and reviewing the evangelization, worship, religious education and service activities within the parish.

Ex officio members of the PPC include the pastor, parochial vicars, assigned permanent deacons and pastoral associates. Lay members (usually twelve in number but can be more) are elected by the parish at large or appointed by the pastor as the need may arise. A representative of the Parish Financial Council is usually present at the PPC meetings. Parish Council represents the voice of the parishioners.
